Qualifications

Cricket Clubs with Junior Sections and Affiliated Clubs should have a Safeguarding Officer at the Club. Depending on what qualifications you hold there are two possible routes, please note you must select the correct option:

Qualified Coach & Safeguarding Officer

  • The new online ECB Safeguarding Level 2 (details below)
  • Safe Hands Workshop Course Certificate
  • A Cricket Specific DBS Clearance

Safeguarding Officer Only

  • ECB Safeguarding Level 2 – Those registering on Safe Hands Workshop will automatically receive notification from the ECB following attendance on the workshop in order to complete the new Safeguarding Level 2 course online. For those with an ECB elearning account, simply log onto your ECB eLearning account https://elearning.ecb.co.uk. You will see the ‘Safeguarding Level 2’ course listed. If you have forgotten your log on details, contact elearning@ecb.co.uk and they will send you a reminder. Please note that existing coaches/activators or those who have registered on an ECB coaching course will already have an account. For those without a current ECB eLearning account, please Book Here. Please note, the ECB no longer considers other safeguarding qualifications in lieu of the the above course.
  • Safe Hands Workshop Course Certificate – We will have several courses running throughout 2025 and 2026. Please register via the links below to secure your place.
  • A Cricket Specific DBS Clearance.

All these qualifications have a 3 year validity period
