Horsley and Send Cricket Club - Female Coach

We are looking for a qualified female cricket coach to help support the development of our thriving girls section at the club. The successful candidate will be expected to help support our Girls head coach in running our training programme during the summer and winter months. Hours will typically be in the evenings or at week-ends and the commitment is expected to be at least 5 hours a week [outside school holidays].

Blackheath Cricket Club

Blackheath CC near Guildford (https://www.blackheathcricket.com/https://www.blackheathcricket.com/) is looking for a coach to fill the role of Women & Girls Section Manager. The club has a growing W&G section of over 100 and to develop this further needs someone for a part-time coaching and administrative role (approx. 15 hours per week). Farnham Cricket Club - Women's Head Coach

Situated in the heart of Farnham against the backdrop of Farnham Castle, our club has been an integral part of the community since 1782. With 300 playing and non-playing members the club thrives on volunteers and is run on funds from membership subscriptions and external sponsorships.

FCC strives to play its part in the local community: a Montessori school is based in the clubhouse throughout the year, local businesses use the Club’s ground, and we are always exploring new ways to be engaged and involved in important projects in the community such as coaching at local schools, working with those less abled and supporting charities.

We have a thriving junior section with over 200 children playing cricket at our club throughout the year, we field 3 senior men’s sides on a Saturday and have a rapidly growing women’s section too following its inception in 2020.

In order for Farnham CC to continue to work towards its strategic objective of growing our women’s section, the committee have identified the need to appoint a head coach for the 2024 season to oversee this area of the club.

The role will be responsible for:

  • Effectively plan and execute Wednesday evening women’s training sessions tailored to a mix of abilities
  • Fostering a fun, inclusive and challenging environment
  • Attending FCC women’s games, both home and away, on match days
  • Leading match day warmups
  • Setting the game plan and tactics on match days
  • Providing feedback and developmental coaching to each member of the women’s squad at training and on match days
  • Facilitating post-match team talk to encourage group feedback and improvement

Wandgas Cricket Club - Head Coach

With regards to the team Coach/trainer, we would like them to own all aspects of training from, content prep, supervision, drills, group sessions, work on player strengths and weaknesses through available stats and video footage, be able to provide one on one sessions (at extra cost). This individual will be expected to work with all age groups, with a priority to build the All Stars and Dynamos content initially and then implement the programme with a team of volunteers. They will run the programme each summer for 14 weeks alongside supporting and delivering the training needs to the adult and youth teams. There are 5 youth teams and 2 adult teams.

Expected hours:

  • 1.5 hours per week running the Dynamos and All Stars programme (5.45pm to 7.15pm each Thursday from 18th Apr to 18th July (14 weeks))
  • 1 hour youth coaching per week
  • 0.5 prep time per week for the above 2 items

For the above Wandgas will pay the coach £25 per hour (£75 in total per week for this work). There will also be an opportunity for this person to generate additional revenue by offering one on one coaching. For an expression of interest please contact Neil Bunting nbunting@surreycricket.com

Hambledon Cricket Club

Hambledon CC , based near Godalming, is seeking a quality and driven Level 2 coach to deliver a number of junior programmes at a club that is building a reputation in its area.

As a coach, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop yourself in tandem with a Head Coach and a number of seasoned coaching assistants.

The opportunities available to you are:

  • Co-running the under 12-14s training on Fridays – 18.00-20.00
  • Running the under 8-11s training on Saturdays – 09.30-11.30
  • Running the girls training on Saturdays from 11.45-13.00.

We are in the development phase of this section, so you’d have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership qualities and shape this better.

  • Coaching on our Easter half term and summer camps.
  • Opportunities to deliver 121s. These have been running over the past two years and will allow you another outlet to improve your coaching skills and provide another revenue stream.
  • Benefitting from coaching CPDs run by the Head Coach, looking at best practices and keeping up-to-date with your skills.

The key slots will be the Friday and Saturday, and should you come on board, you will automatically be guaranteed a coaching position at our camps. Ideally we would want an individual who can do both sessions, however, do state which day(s) you can commit to.

You must have the following to hand and be able to show proof of:

  • ECB Level 2 or equivalent coaching certificate
  • Current DBS and Safeguard checks
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Rate of pay is competitive and in line with what you’d expect.

Horsley and Send Cricket Club - Player/Coach

We are looking to employ a dedicated Coach to help support the development of both Junior and Senior cricket at the club. The successful candidate will be expected to lead group training sessions across the club and represent the clubs 1st XI in the Surrey Championship Division 2.

  • Willingness to coach beyond HSCC (Local Schools during summer term)
  • Decent playing experience that will add strength to the Club’s 1st XI

Martin Bicknell Cricket Academy

The Martin Bicknell Cricket Academy are looking for coaches. We are growing so quickly we have roles available for part time coaches. Roles include, delivering after school sessions at Aldro, Amesbury and Highfield schools in Surrey, exceptional rates of pay. Easter, half term and summer camps throughout the year, the potential for many hours of coaching. Level 1 & 2 coaches will be considered for these roles. DBS required. Camberley Cricket Club - Head Coach/Senior Squad Player 2024

Camberley Cricket Club is looking to recruit a Head Coach/Senior Squad member responsible for leading all Junior & Senior coaching requirements and to actively participate in the senior squads’ 2024 Surrey Championship League campaign.

The Club
Camberley Cricket Club is a thriving community club based in Surrey. We run 4 Adult Saturday teams all competing in the AJ Fordham Surrey Championship, 1 Surrey Trust Sunday XI, Midweek Surrey Slam XI’s and 1 Ladies team. We have an ever-growing Junior Section of 200+ youngsters, we participate in the “Chance 2 Shine” programme offering cricket coaching in state schools and the ECB “All Stars” cricket programme for ages 5 to 8.

Camberley Cricket Club aims to establish itself as being central to the community, by providing cricketing opportunities across a wide range of demographics. Investment and support in both junior and senior cricket are vital to achieve success both off and on the field.

Opportunity
The Head Coach/Senior Squad Member is to be seen as a leader both on and off the field. The successful applicant will report to the Club’s Management Committee, taking guidance from both the Cricket Chairman and the Junior Chairman, and work in accordance with their directives.

Responsibilities
To support the development of cricket in order to improve and sustain the standard of cricket and other forms of structured activity across the club by developing balanced coaching programmes which:

  • Provide high quality coaching for the club’s Junior cricketers with a view to preparing them for their highest achievable level of cricket
  • Establish a junior Academy programme offering young players with the greatest potential, appropriate coaching for their developmental requirement
  • Lead Senior training sessions to encourage playing members to improve standards and to enable them to play the highest level possible
  • Direct and co-ordinate the existing club coaches and develop additional candidates
  • Improve collaboration and partnership between the club and local schools
  • Attend and play in all Surrey Championship 1st XI fixtures/knock-out cup matches
  • Provide on and off field support to the 1st XI captain and mentor individuals as required

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Referenceable experience of coaching cricket to a high level
  • ECB Level 3 accreditation or minimum ECB L2 working towards L3 certification
  • Current playing experience of ECB 1st XI Premier League or higher
  • Must be UK Resident

Remuneration

This opportunity is to commence in January 2024 and will run thru September 2024:

  • Coach from January – March (c. 10 weeks X 4 sessions/week)
  • Coach from April – September (c. 20 weeks X 5 evenings/week)
