Epsom CC Thoroughbreds claimed the overall title in the 2024 Surrey Walking Cricket finals, which secures them the title for the third consecutive year. The finals took place on September 13th at Valley End CC, where teams from across the county battled it out for the coveted trophy.
A total of nine clubs participated in the finals, including teams from Camberley, Valley End, Cobham, Change Foundation, Wimbledon, Old Woking, Chobham, Epsom, and Normandy. The day was filled with competitive matches alongside opportunities to socialise over a drink and a BBQ lunch, showcasing the popularity and enjoyment of walking cricket in Surrey.
Simon Hards, Assistant Director of Participation said “It was wonderful to see so many teams participating in the walking cricket finals. The event is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all involved, from the players to the volunteers.
