SSCA Affiliation Fees

Schools wishing to enter competitions organised by Surrey Schools’ Cricket Association must be affiliated members of the Association.

Secondary Schools Affiliation Fees: £30

The income from affiliation fees is split equally between SSCA and the Surrey Cricket Foundation to support the running of competitions. The range of benefits available for 2026 is currently under discussion between SSCA & SCF.

Tier 1 Hardball

Bookings open: Monday 29th September 2025
Deadline for entries: Monday 1st December 2025

Tier 1 hardball competitions run for both boys’ and girls’ teams and are open to both state and independent schools. Teams will be entered into a draw and the winners of the Knock Out rounds will progress to a semi-final and final.

Schools can enter into the following Tier 1 Hardball Competitions:

Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup bookings open: Monday 29th September 2025

Tier 2 hardball competitions are open to state schools only and run as plate and league competitions.

Schools can enter into the following Tier 2 Hardball Competitions:

Tier 3 Softball – SSCA Run Competitions

SSCA Deadline for entries: Monday 1st December 2025
SSCA run competitions are open to both state and independent schools. They will run as localised group stages with successful schools progressing to finals day.

Schools can enter into the following SSCA Tier 3 Softball Competitions:

Tier 3 Softball – SCF Run Competitions

SCF Deadline for entries: Friday 6th March 2026
SCF run competitions are open to state schools only. Aimed at school teams who are new to cricket, these will run as a festival day and are designed to encourage as many students as possible the opportunity to play cricket in a relaxed, fun and supportive environment. Local details including dates and locations will be confirmed in the new year.

Schools can enter into the following SCF Tier 3 Softball Competitions:

Deadline for entries: BOOKING CLOSED on 4pm on Friday 26th September 2025

Competition Format:
The first round of these competitions will be the ‘local’ competitions. You will be put into a group of 3 or 4 local schools, and you’ll play these matches in one afternoon. Once we have received all our entries, we will email you with your groups. The ‘local’ groups will take place from October until the Christmas Break. If your school does not win their group, you will have the opportunity to enter our Plate competition where you will be playing with other schools who were also eliminated in the first round.

The winners of the ‘local’ competitions will go onto qualify for our ‘area’ competitions. The ‘area’ competitions will run from the start of the New Year until the end of February. We will still be expecting schools to host these competitions.

The winners of the ‘area’ competition will go onto our County Finals. These competitions will be taking place in March, and this is where we will crown our Surrey Champions!

(Girls Competitions Only: The winners from our Surrey County Finals will go onto represent Surrey at the ECB Regional Finals which will be taking place in April.)

Please Note: These competitions are open to state schools and independent schools in Surrey.

The deadline for entries is 4pm on Friday 26th September 2025.

After the entry deadline has closed, we will be in contact before the end of October with your group information.
