Calling all clubs! Get Ready for the cricket Season on Get Set Weekend 2024.
The ECB have announced that 2024’s Get Set Weekend will fall on 23-24th March.
The Get Set Weekend has for many years been a pre-season focal point for clubs up and down the country. In 2023, over 20,000 volunteers got involved across England and Wales, supporting their clubs and local communities.
This year, Get Set Weekend is powered by The Cricket Collective, and clubs are encouraged to use the Weekend not only to prepare their physical facilities and grounds but also to inspire new and existing volunteers to get involved at their local club.
To support clubs, a range of resources have been compiled:
- Digital Booklet: Packed with tips on running a successful event, handling the weather, and creating a welcoming atmosphere, it’s your complete Get Set Weekend guide. Plus, you’ll find new and improved social media assets to spread the word. You can find the booklet on the ECB Resource Hub or access it after registering your event.
- Interactive Task List: Make planning a breeze with this handy tool. Customize it to your needs and track your progress as you tick off tasks, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Jewson Partnership: The ECB have teamed up with Jewson to offer up to 1000 registered clubs store credit ranging from £25 to £500! Register before 23:59 on 29 February to be in the draw.
- Get Set Weekend Resource Pack: Get your hands on a pack of posters, flyers, bunting, and even drinks coasters to promote your event, recruit volunteers, and decorate your club. Register before 23:59 on 29 February to claim yours! (Remember, after that date, you’ll still receive a digital resource pack, but the physical goodies will be gone!)
