We are excited to offer a workshop designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to confidently coach players with disabilities. This workshop is a fantastic opportunity to develop your coaching repertoire and become part of a growing and rewarding area of cricket.

- Time: 9:30 am – 12:45 pm
- Location: Merstham Cricket Club – The Pavilion, Quality Street, Merstham, Surrey RH1 3BB
- Cost: £10
What to Expect:
The workshop will include interactive activities focused on coaching players with:
- Visual Impairment (VI)
- Learning Disabilities (LD) including ADHD and Autism
- Physical Disabilities (PD)
Led by experienced coaches and players with disabilities, the workshop will provide valuable insights into:
- Effective Coaching Techniques: Learn practical skills and strategies for tailoring your coaching to different needs.
- Increased Confidence: Gain the knowledge and experience to confidently coach players with disabilities.
- Growth in Disability Cricket: Be part of the exciting development of disability cricket across Surrey.
The workshop schedule includes presentations by leading figures in disability cricket:
- 9:30 am: Welcome and Workshop Overview – Caroline Robinson (Surrey Cricket Foundation) & Richard Feist (Merstham CC)
- 9:40 am: Coaching LD/PD Cricketers – Alain Jason
- 10:30 am: Coaching Wheelchair Cricketers – Russ Carter
- 11:15 am: Break
- 11:30 am: Coaching VI Cricketers – Joe Zindani
- 12:15 pm: Q&A with Presenters
- 1:30 pm: Disability cricket match
