The Surrey Slam 2024 season concluded with a thrilling weekend of finals at the iconic Kia Oval.
Both the men’s and women’s Cup and Plate finals were played on their respective days, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September.
On Saturday, Peper Harow CC emerged victorious in the men’s plate final, defeating Caterham CC. Meanwhile, Kempton CC claimed the men’s cup title against Sinjun Grammarians CC.
The following day, Ashtead CC won the women’s plate final against Chertsey CC. In the women’s cup final, Dulwich CC proved too strong for Weybridge CC.
Chris Coleman, Director of Cricket Participation at the Surrey Cricket Foundation, was delighted with the success of the Surrey Slam finals: “It was a fantastic weekend of cricket at the Kia Oval. The standard of play was exceptionally high, and the supporters for each team added to a great atmosphere. We would like to thank the grounds team at the Kia Oval for allowing us to use the pitch for the finals. Their hard work ensured that the matches were played on a great surface.”
