Groundsperson Training Subsidies

We recognise the importance that grounds people play in getting the game on across the county, as well as the challenges faced within the industry, particularly in succession planning.

As we look to attract more people into grounds maintenance roles, we have put together a subsidy programme for those people looking to upskill by taking the training courses available from the Grounds Management Association.

The subsidies are open to everyone, however priority will be given to those under the age of 30, as well as those who are working for local authority grounds teams. Details of the courses available and relevant subsidies can be found below:

Please note that any subsidies awarded will only be issued upon completion of the course and subsequent certification.
