Surrey’s D40 (Disability) cricket squad is preparing to host Essex in a highly anticipated D40 Quest League match at the iconic Kia Oval on Sunday June 22nd. The 40-overs-a-side hardball fixture promises an exciting display of talent and competitive cricket.
Following a strong start to their D40 Quest campaign, the Surrey side will be looking to continue their momentum on home turf. Having previously secured a significant victory against Sussex at The Kia Oval, the team is confident in their ability to perform against a formidable Essex outfit.
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome Essex to The Kia Oval for what promises to be a fantastic D40 encounter,” said Kavin Hemraj, Surrey D40 Coach.  “Our squad has been working hard, and we’re eager to put on a strong performance for our home crowd. These matches are not only about competition but also about showcasing the incredible talent within disability cricket and inspiring future players.”
The D40 Quest League is the premier national hardball competition for disability cricket in England, featuring county pan-disability teams. Matches are played under the same laws and regulations as mainstream county cricket, including powerplays and a 30-yard fielding circle, ensuring a high standard of play.
Essex will undoubtedly pose a significant challenge, having a strong history in the D40 competition. Spectators can expect a competitive match between two well-matched sides.
