The Surrey Cricket Foundation and the Surrey Cricket Championship are delighted to announce that M Zaidi & Co, a leading London‑based Chartered Accountancy firm, will become the headline sponsor of the Surrey Cricket Championship in a new four‑year partnership beginning in 2026.
This partnership follows the successful completion of the Championship’s inaugural season in 2025, which marked the first full year of the newly unified senior league structure formed through the merger of three previous adult competitions in Surrey. The restructured Championship has already established itself as the largest adult league structure in the country, showcasing the depth, diversity and ambition of recreational cricket across Surrey.
In 2025, the Open competition involved 13,477 registered players, and across all formats more than 3,000 fixtures are scheduled for 2026 — a powerful reflection of cricket’s continued momentum at recreational level in Surrey.
The league represents the pinnacle of recreational cricket in Surrey, often hosting Surrey professional players when they are not playing for the club. Both Tom Ealham and Dom Sibley who joined us for the partnership launch have spent time with Premier League clubs Reigate Priory CC and Ashtead CC respectfully.
