SCF are committed to supporting the LGBTQ+ community play and engage with cricket, in whatever way possible.
For the past few years, the SCF’s relationship with Out4Cricket, a charity committed to championing LGBTQ+ inclusion in cricket, has grown from strength to strength. Having hosted regular indoor winter training sessions, to engaging with the charity and community for our annual Pride matches, we are now delivering a series of cricket taster/training sessions.
These take place Thursday between 6pm and 8pm until 10th September, so there’s still time to get involved.
All sessions will take place at the refurbished outdoor cricket nets at Kennington Park, Lambeth, London, SE11 5SW. Sessions are flexible and coached by qualified coaches.
The sessions are open to anyone (18 years and older) from the LGBTQ+ community or allies interested in cricket. You may be a complete beginner or have played for years, or be somewhere in between – everyone is welcome to attend. The sessions will provide an opportunity to try cricket and meet like-minded members of the community.
You won’t need any cricket equipment; this will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have any.
If you are interested in attending, or if you have any questions, you can email Ou4Cricket at out4cricket@gmail.com
