Shalford Cricket Club - Coach Required

We are a friendly and sociable club just south of Guildford, with a traditional village set-up: picturesque ground on the local common, and a wooden pavilion including a bar. We are starting up a small junior section in 2025 (having unfortunately not been able to provide junior cricket for the last few years). We are looking for a qualified cricket coach (Foundation Coach or Level 2) to lead the training sessions on Friday evenings and support the development of the U9 team (Shalford Sharks). The successful candidate will be expected to plan and run c. 10 training sessions for an hour a week: 6-7pm on Friday evenings from 9th May to 18th July. The group is expected to comprise c. 12-15 players in the U9 age-group, mainly boys with a few girls, so hopefully presents an attractive opportunity to work with a small and enthusiastic group!

Key Attributes

  • Ability to coach, enthuse and lead sessions for our new U9 team.
  • Hold a Minimum Level 2 ECB or Foundation Coach Cricket Coaching Certificate.

Godalming Cricket Club - Junior Head Coach

We are friendly, sociable and inclusive Club, in a multi-sport setting, looking for a qualified cricket coach to help support the development of our Junior section. SMCC are looking for a coach to lead the development of our successful women’s section. We have one of the largest women’s sections in the county, with our 1st XI competing in the SWCL Premier Division and a 2nd XI competing in Division 3. We have a good mix of experienced players and those new to the game, so are looking for a talented coach who can cater for all abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the women’s winter and summer training sessions, with a possibility of additional coaching of the older girls age groups to support their transition into senior cricket.

Requirements:

  • Deliver fun and engaging training sessions for women, with an emphasis on improvement and enjoyment
  • Work with club captains and assistant coaches to develop training plans specific to the needs of the teams
  • Ability to tailor training sessions to players of different abilities, from CAG players to complete beginners
  • Experience of coaching women is preferable
  • Level 2 (Core) ECB Coaching Qualification, valid DBS and ECB Safeguarding

St Olave’s Grammar School (Orpington) - Volunteer Coaches

St Olave’s Grammar School in Orpington are raising funds for their Net Development Project and one fundraising activity they are planning is a junior indoor coaching programme for Year 7 mixed ability boys (age 11-12) to be held after school during winter and spring terms, with donations going toward the project.

We are looking for a volunteer coach(s) to run the after school indoor cricket programme once a week on Tuesdays 3.45-5pm from January 2025 (term time only) until May 2025.

Job description:

Run the main club coaching session for two hours on a Thursday evening. This session is attended by four senior mens teams, the ladies team and older juniors. We would be looking for the candidate to provide a dynamic environment to improve skills and increase engagement.

Play for the first team on a Saturday, with a particular focus on running the pre-match preparations (a one-hour session). On the playing front we are ideally looking for a batting all rounder, but would consider other positions. The candidate should have a proven record of performance.

The salary would be £150 for three hours of coaching. We envisage scope for the role to increase and further opportunities to become available with junior coaching, 1-to1s and potentially setting up an academy in the future. The ideal candidate would be looking to build up the cricket section at what is a thriving and fast-developing multi-sports club.

Role:

Draw up training plans. Motivate, encourage and monitor player progress. Develop juniors for transition to senior cricket. Job description:

Run the main club coaching session for two hours on a Thursday evening. This session is attended by four senior mens teams, the ladies team and older juniors. We would be looking for the candidate to provide a dynamic environment to improve skills and increase engagement.

Play for the first team on a Saturday, with a particular focus on running the pre-match preparations (a one-hour session). On the playing front we are ideally looking for a batting all rounder, but would consider other positions. The candidate should have a proven record of performance.

The salary would be £150 for three hours of coaching. We envisage scope for the role to increase and further opportunities to become available with junior coaching, 1-to1s and potentially setting up an academy in the future. Job description:

Run the main club coaching session for two hours on a Thursday evening. This session is attended by four senior mens teams, the ladies team and older juniors. We would be looking for the candidate to provide a dynamic environment to improve skills and increase engagement.

Play for the first team on a Saturday, with a particular focus on running the pre-match preparations (a one-hour session). On the playing front we are ideally looking for a batting all rounder, but would consider other positions. The candidate should have a proven record of performance.

The salary would be £150 for three hours of coaching. We envisage scope for the role to increase and further opportunities to become available with junior coaching, 1-to1s and potentially setting up an academy in the future. The ideal candidate would be looking to build up the cricket section at what is a thriving and fast-developing multi-sports club.

About Us:

Chipstead Coulsdon and Walcountians Cricket Club (CCWCC) is a vibrant community cricket club with a thriving youth program of around 90 Colts (ages 9-16) and a competitive adult section, including a 1st XI team competing in the Surrey Championship Division 2.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head Coach to lead and develop our training programs, ensuring high-quality coaching for both Colts and adult players.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Colts Coaching:

St Olave’s Grammar School (Orpington) - Volunteer Coaches

St Olave’s Grammar School in Orpington are raising funds for their Net Development Project and one fundraising activity they are planning is a junior indoor coaching programme for Year 7 mixed ability boys (age 11-12) to be held after school during winter and spring terms, with donations going toward the project.

We are looking for a volunteer coach(s) to run the after school indoor cricket programme once a week on Tuesdays 3.45-5pm from January 2025 (term time only) until May 2025.

Cricket Nets Development – St. Olave’s Grammar School

Purley Cricket Club - Club Player/Coach

Job description:

Run the main club coaching session for two hours on a Thursday evening. This session is attended by four senior mens teams, the ladies team and older juniors. We would be looking for the candidate to provide a dynamic environment to improve skills and increase engagement.

Play for the first team on a Saturday, with a particular focus on running the pre-match preparations (a one-hour session). On the playing front we are ideally looking for a batting all rounder, but would consider other positions. The candidate should have a proven record of performance.

The salary would be £150 for three hours of coaching. We envisage scope for the role to increase and further opportunities to become available with junior coaching, 1-to1s and potentially setting up an academy in the future. The ideal candidate would be looking to build up the cricket section at what is a thriving and fast-developing multi-sports club.

Guildford City Cricket Youth Project – Junior Head Coach

Guildford City Cricket Youth Project located at Sutherland Memorial Park, Burpham, Guildford, GU4 7LP.

are looking to appoint a junior head coach.

Player numbers & coaching staff:

Approximately 30 juniors. Existing coaches: 2 No. ECB Foundation Level 2 Coaches, 1 No. ECB Foundation coach plus 2 apprentice coaches.

Role:

Draw up training plans. Motivate, encourage and monitor player progress. Develop juniors for transition to senior cricket. Co-ordinate existing coaches and ensure sufficient numbers in attendance for each session. Train apprentice coaches. Set up equipment before and hold debrief after each session.

Coaching Sessions:

Commencing Season 2024, ASAP

Summer: Friday 18.00 to 20.00 & Sunday 10.00 to 12.00.

Winter: January to March Indoor Nets Sunday 15.00 to 1700.

Minimum Qualification:
