On Sunday 14th April, a fantastic start of the season Super 1s tournament was hosted at East Molesey CC, bringing together over 30 participants from their Lord’s Taverners Super 1s hubs. Players from Rowledge, Epsom, Sutton, Wimbledon, Merstham, and Valley End enjoyed a day of cricket in the sunshine.

The tournament featured a round robin format, with each team getting the chance to play against each other. Skills were on display as the participants showcased their cricketing abilities.

The event also served as an opportunity for the participants and their families to show their appreciation to Neil Bunting, who recently retired as Disability Officer. They took the chance to say thank you and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Overall, the start of the season tournament was a great success, bringing together individuals from different hubs to enjoy a day of cricket and celebrate the retirement of a valued member of the Surrey Cricket Foundation team.

Our thanks go to East Molesey CC for hosting this event for the second time.
