Following two exciting days play at the Boy's Secondary School Indoor County Finals.
Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th saw the finals of the boys secondary school indoor competitions taking place at Ashcombe school in Dorking. Following the local rounds of the competitions, which saw just under 100 teams competing, 6 schools won through to represent their area at the Year 7/8 competition on the Tuesday, and the Year 9/10 competition on the Wednesday. A big congratulation to the following schools for qualifying:
Year 7/8: Dunottar, George Abbot, Fullbrook, Hinchley Wood, The Charter, Archbishop Lanfranc
Year 9/10: Oxted, Howard of Effingham, Bishop David Brown, Hinchley Wood, Kingsdale, St Marks
Following a great days competition The Charter (London) prevailed in the final against Fullbrook (North West) to win the Year 7/8 competition and become County Champions. In the Year 9/10 event St Mark’s (Outer London) proved to be too strong, bowling Oxted (South East) out for 18 in the final, before reaching the total in in just 1.4 overs.
