Under Armour provide charity with equipment
Surrey have partnered with Under Armour and Lord's Taverners to provide kit for children in Africa who otherwise wouldn't be given the opportunity to play with high quality equipment and are now able to experience cricket in a new way.
Lord’s Taverners CEO, Paul Robin, said: “We’re extremely grateful to Surrey CCC for their very kind donation of cricket kit. One of the main barriers preventing young people from playing sport is being unable to afford or access the right kit and equipment, but this donation will go a long way to ensuring that more young people at home and abroad get the opportunity to play cricket and other sports for the first time.”
Lords Taverners recycle sports kit to give young people at home and abroad a sporting chance. Our kit recycling programme equips UK clubs and developing nations with high-quality kit donated by manufacturers, clubs and members of the public. Recycling unwanted kit helps clubs increase participation among young people while reducing the build-up of kit in landfill sites.
