Worplesdon and Burpham Cricket Club: New Square Mower
"During 2018, we took on the preparation of our square and wicket ourselves due to the high expenditure involved in paying a professional groundsperson being unsustainable for a club like ours. We have some equipment that we used throughout this year but, after a service, our square mower is so old that standard parts are no longer available for it. It is also on its last legs after being used on the ground for at least 10 years, if not more, with rust quite present and electrical faults commonplace."

Kingstonian Cricket Club: Elite Player and Coach
"In order to take our Colts and also Adults to the next level of development, the club are looking to appoint a UK based, high level, internationally experienced coaching consultant to support our existing volunteer coaches. The player/coach in question would also play for our 1st XI and offer great expertise to all our Adult players across the teams we field every weekend."

Ripley Cricket Club: Cricket Nets and Practice Area Refurbishment
"Improving the facilities at the Cricket Club will attract more youngsters to the Club, providing an outdoor healthy lifestyle, much lacking in these days of kids sitting in front of screens. The aim is to provide a platform for active and healthy lifestyles which will benefit the villagers as well as provide continuity of cricket on The Green, which has been played since before 1749, (when Ripley CC was established)."

Tilford Cricket Club: Repair and Reseeding of Tilford Village Green
"During the glorious, long hot summer of 2018, the grass on the village green has all died and a massive influx of weeds have taken over. The village green is not only a village green, but also one of the most famous and iconic village cricket pitches in the world. Tilford cricket club is totally self funding, and the club are "the custodians of the green" so are responsible for its maintenance and upkeep, not just for the benefit of the cricket club, but also for the benefit of the whole village."

Malden Wanderers Cricket Club: Project Revitalise
"Malden Wanderers - now 140 years young – prides itself on its status as a local, friendly community club, run entirely by volunteers. Besides offering its members cricket, tennis and badminton, the venue is used extensively by locals for many diverse activities. Aside from the day-to-day pre-school hire we have, or have had, regular lets for a ballet school, jazz band, amateur dramatic societies, even the police. One-off lets for the hall include birthday parties, weddings and other social events. The club is also used by local schools, a local Netball League, Surrey Cricket Club – and local businesses. This weekend we staged a four-county disability T20 tournament, with more than 200 visitors. We are seeking funding from Aviva for £10,000 to refurbish and revitalise the community hall at Malden Wanderers."
