Congratulations to all who took part!
Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd March saw Ashcombe School in Dorking kindly host the Lady Taverners Secondary School Indoor County Finals.
Monday was the turn of the U13 girls, with Reigate Grammar, George Abbot, St John the Baptist, Hinchley Wood, Sutton High and Surbiton High competing to become County Champions. After a hard fought afternoon of cricket Surbiton High took the title, overcoming a strong Reigate Grammar side in the final.
Tuesdays U15 competition saw teams from Reigate Grammar, George Abbot, Sutton High, Hinchley Wood, Kingston Grammar and Riddlesdown in attendance. Again there was some excellent play throughout the afternoon, with Kingston Grammar triumphing, Reigate Grammar matching their performance in the U13 competition by finishing as runners up.
Well done to all sides for qualifying for the finals day, and congratulations to Surbiton High and Kingston Grammar who will now advance to represent Surrey in the Regional Finals in April.
A big thank you to all schools who took part, to Ashcombe School for hosting the finals, and to all the Umpires and Scorers throughout the competition. We wish Surbiton High and Kingston Grammar the best of luck in the Regional Finals.
