#NoBoundaries.
Chance to Shine street cricket is a fast-moving game, designed to be played in crowded urban environments and using facilities such as five-a-side football pitches, basketball courts and sports halls. Just takes 2 bats, 2 sets of plastic stumps, a tape ball and 4-8 players and you’re ready to go! Each game lasts a maximum of 20 legal balls per team or until the batting team is out.
We will be starting regular FREE coaching sessions for young people 11-15yrs, Tuesday’s 4:30-6:00pm at Black Prince Trust, SE11 6PT from Tuesday 6th June until September.
The young people on this project will be selected to represent Lambeth in Chance to Shine street competitions playing against other London Borough’s. Competitions are run every half-term. Bringing young people together with postcode boundaries overlooked in favour of all-action street cricket tournaments.
Although cricket is the main focus of the sessions, educational workshops and trips are also organized for the young people. Children are encouraged to bring their own refreshments however on occasions snacks are provided at sessions.
