Surrey Cricket Foundation

This year, we have once again been running a school’s cricket scholarship programme in Woking in honour of Alec and Eric Bedser. The Bedser twins were raised and educated in Woking, and they both represented Surrey County Cricket Club, with Alec also going on to play for England.

The programme aims to identify and award scholarships to players who are state school educated in Woking and who aren’t currently involved in the Surrey County Cricket Club player pathway programme, but have the potential to become performance cricketers.
