The SCF and Surrey County Cricket Club would like to invite your school to attend our annual Schools’ Day at the Kia Oval, which this year will take place on Friday 12th May.
This year, Schools’ Day will take place during a Royal London One Day Cup match (50 over game) instead of a four day Specsavers County Championship match.
During the day, pupils will be able to watch the match from their seats in the stands and participate in a number of engaging and enjoyable activities that will teach them about cricket and give them the chance to experience the game for themselves in a safe and secure environment. Every pupil will then leave the Kia Oval with a free souvenir of Surrey County Cricket Club – a little something to remember the day by!
In previous years, Schools’ Days have been a great success. In 2016, we had over 5,000 children from around 90 Primary and Secondary schools in attendance and having fun whilst they continue to learn about this great game! We are hoping to beat this number in 2017, and aim to enthuse and inspire children and create a new generation of cricket fans.
