Surrey County Cricket Club and Surrey Cricket Foundation would like to invite your school to attend an LV= County Championship match at the Kia Oval entirely free of charge on our annual Schools’ Day, which will be on Tuesday June 2nd.
Schools’ Day will take place during the third day of Surrey’s four day match with Lancashire at the Kia Oval in Kennington, south London. The day’s play will start at 11am and continue until 6pm. However, you are free to arrive and leave at your convenience between those times.
We can offer you free tickets for up 50 people (including staff and pupils) to attend the game. To help us run the day effectively, we recommend that you bring one adult member of staff for every 15 pupils you are planning to bring. If you require more tickets than this, please contact us and let us know as we can usually accommodate larger requests.
During the day, pupils will be able to watch the match from their seats in the stands and participate in a number of engaging and enjoyable activities that will teach them about cricket and give them the chance to experience the game for themselves in a safe and secure environment. Every pupil will then leave the Kia Oval with a free souvenir of Surrey County Cricket Club – a little something to remember the day by!
In previous years, Schools’ Days have been a great success, with up to 5,000 children having fun whilst they continue to learn. See what happened last year here!
We would love you to join us on this special day and, if you’re interested, please e-mail schoolsday@surreycricket.com as soon as possible so we can provide you with further information. The deadline for ticket applications is 5pm on Friday May 22nd.
This year we are also inviting all schools to an afternoon of activities specifically aimed at young female cricketers on Monday May 18th. This will culminate in a chance to watch Surrey Women play Middlesex Women in the first ever Pemberton Greenish London Cup, a one off T20 match for the right to call yourself the top women’s team in London! For more information on this, or to request tickets, please also contact us at schoolsday@surreycricket.com.
